So I followed all the directions on the Read and Run First thread, and there are still a couple things I can't seem to get rid of.

First off, I don't know what happened, but I can't seem to INstall Internet Explorer at ALL. I go to Microsofts update page, and it tells me I need a couple of Microsoft Security updates, and IE 7, but when I follow the steps, it shows downloading, but When I reboot, I dont have any IE 7, and if I go back to the Update, it detects them AGAIN... I have tried this 4 or 5 times, and it wont take.

So all my scans went okay, except for my Spybot Scan. It detected "funwebproducts" and "myway.mywebsearch". It said it couldn't remove them, so It would remove them on reboot. I rebooted, it scanned, and found them, but wont remove them.

I got upset, and read the Spybot logs and found out where they were located, and manually deleted the folders (I know, probably not the best way to go about it, but I was frustrated).

Now spybot isnt finding them, but I still cannot install IE. Im stuck using Netscape and I HATE it.

    Enclosed are all pertinent logs.

You have IE6? And it doesn't work? You have downloaded IE8Beta to your desktop:
    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Desktop\IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe

Are you saying it will not install?

This is not a malware issue. I would suggest that you post in the software section.

I had HAD a trojan, and a bunch of other stuff, and the process removed most of it.

I was assuming it was a malware issue that wasn't allowing me to Update windows or IE.

After all was said and done, I found IE, but the Folder was marked as hidden for some reason... wierd.

Good to know...then let's just clean up from the scans:

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

If you get a success message, then it is time to do our final steps:
