I hope this is the right topic.

For a couple of weeks, I haven't been able to upload pictures to forums&photobuckets, attach attachments onto e-mail, and more.

I'm not sure if it has to do anything with my router or firewall, because it was working fine a couple of weeks ago? (Then again, I might be wrong)

Also, sometimes, my internet connection keeps on disconnecting and connecting...

I've run Adaware & Spybot.. nothings seems to work.

    :(

It help if you described better what are you using and how your Firewall arrangement is?

The fact that it worked before does not mean that every thing is OK Now.

Oh sorry I was being so vague.

    I currently have Windows XP.
I used to use Internet Explorer and then it got really slow for me so I switched to Firefox. My firewall is ON. I tried turning it off to see if that was the problem , but I didn't see any difference.

I'm also having this issue- I can't upload things to the internet on this computer!

The problem extends to not being able to make posts on Livejournal, or posting on certain forums, uploading to things like Photobucket, or submitting login information or entering pin numbers on secure sites. Uploading to Gmail works, though.

Using Qwest as my ISP with Windows XP and a 2Wire 2700HG-D router and Sygate Personal Firewall Pro.

I have tried turning off Sygate, nothing changed. Can't really disable the firewall on the router...I'd have tried it if it'd let me... I've tried both Opera and Firefox, and both have the same problem, just timing out when I try to upload or submit things.

I've tried WAN and LAN, it doesn't make a difference.

It's not spyware or anything that I can tell, as a while back, something else came up and I had to completely reinstall Windows XP, but I still couldn't upload. I can, however, seed torrent files. Just nothing browser-based...

Funnier still, my laptop, running the same OS and Sygate and using the same router, etc, can upload things just fine. (I usual have to e-mail myself things, check it on the laptop, and upload it from there. Like with this post.)

I am absolutely stumped, and it's -really- inconvienent. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also had this problem and it's driving me nuts.

    OS: Windows Vista
    SP: 2
Running: COMODO Internet Security, VIPRE Antivirus Premium

I recently added all my web browsers to the "Allowed" list of both firewalls, and I was able to upload to Mediafire again- Humyo still seems to be having connection issues with me.

For those having this issue I'd suggest simply adding the web browsers to the "allowed applications" (safe applications) lists.

However I'm still getting occasional problems- so it may not just be a firewall issue. I'll edit/repost after a few scans. ;)

    Stay safe online & IRL,
    Regards,
    Guardian Phoenix.

Try using Avira antivirus instead of what you're using now. Also, uninstall and reinstall your wireless card, clean your registry, cycle your router.
