I crack me up..

So I'm at work and I answer the phone and I hear (a horribly accented person say)

them: blah blah blah, I'm calling from microsoft, blah blah blah... are you the one responsible for using the primary laptop in the office?

me: no, we don't use computers here.

them: you don't have a computer?

me: no, we write everything down.

them: there are no computers there?

me: oh no, we don't trust computers, everything gets stolen.

them: oh.. oookay.....

me (in my sweetest voice): thanks for calling!! and I hung up while he still was mumbling about something..

Then I literally laughed out loud :-D

I either greatly confused him or he knew I was onto his jig.. either way it was a bit fun on a kind of slow & dreary day.

 

I give you a 6/10.

To really troll them, you need to tell them you don't have electricity or phone lines where you are at. :-D That really messes with their head.

 

It was just the first thing that popped into my head. If I had really thought about it for a minute, I probably asked him what a laptop is and a bunch of other really simple questions I've had people ask me. :-D

 

I would have told them I am in charge of my own lap top. And it's use is somewhat proprietary, especially at work. :-D

And then, there is the abacus in accounting. :cool

We have one. However, I do kind of have to answer the phone while I'm actually at work, no matter how much I don't want to. :-D

 

In cases like this, I tell the caller they sound hot then suggest we get together and do something nasty.

It usually embarrasses the hell out of them and they hang up - plus, I get a good laugh.
