I did not know it could be this much fun!

I did not know it could be this much fun! When I began 21 days ago, it was only idle curiosity, on my part, to examine what might be accomplished if one had a mind to. The trigger began as a concept, while not earth shattering, nor revolutionary, kept popping into my thoughts over the course of the several weeks, previous. I finally decided to do it. My mind was made up, and I embarked on my quest to answer an age-old question. "What are the Consequences of Evil?" The mind is immediately flooded, of course. Now take that and apply it to the world of Tamriel, and you've got the makings of a TES4:Oblivion modpac.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I've finally, constructed my first mod for that stunningly beautiful landscape, known as Cyrodiil, in the lands of Tamriel from the Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion game. I've never, even attempted such a thing as this before, so I'll be honest and acknowledge just how nervous, I was when I first uploaded the ZIP file. Keep in mind, there are some pretty amazing modpacs out there, so you immediately get compared with that lot. Worse, yet, the modpac community is a pretty jaded bunch. They've probably seen it all and done most of it, themselves. So, I was expecting to hear that "so-and-so" from "such-and-such" web site, already did that last year. Why do we need another "Consequences of Evil" modpac? Instead, I received positive responses. I was actually all geared up to defend my concept, so it was completely unexpected when several respondants encouraged me. I've got to tell you, that was a relief. One of the respondants actually, gave me the kernel of an idea that led to an enhancement of the original idea. What a terrifically cool bunch they are. Well, almost as cool as you guys and gals, here at MajorGeeks, that is. :cool

Yes me, i am waiting right now for the expension coming soon i only play the main story almost no sidequest at all.....

 

Is that the "Shivering Isles" expansion, or another that you're waiting for? It looks like it'll be a bit more substantial the "Knights of the Nine". Being a fan of "Morrowind", it's expansions "Tribunal" and "Bloodmoon" were fairly substantial. "Knights of the Nine" was a thinly disguised modpac, and not an expansion as was announced. I hope Bethesda, doesn't try that stunt again.

Shivering Isles that one....

 

Oh yes! me too! There is something about the name that reminds me of the Morrowind:Bloodmoon game. I would feel cold whenever a blizzard kicked up, and occasionally would catch myself squinting as my character turned his face into the gale. That's immersion.
