I don't know where to turn

My computer is acting strange. First I noticed that I couldn't stay in a game at Pogo.com. At odd times I would get booted from games to the point where I can't even play there anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled Java THREE times. No difference.

Everything now takes FOREVER to load [or a web page to open]. I frequently have to hit the stop button and hit the reload arrow to get something to open. And I MEAN frequently.

I'm not sure if this is related, or if my ex-husband is back on the Internet, but I find myself subscribed to stuff I KNOW I haven't subscribed to [religious newsletters for example] and just yesterday I had to cancel an order I KNOW I never placed with Scholastic Books.

I don't enter my phone number on the Internet, and yet, starting the other day, I'm receiving phone calls from places that SWEAR I filled out forms asking them to call me. I presently have NO INCOME; why would I be shopping for a cruise to the Greek Islands?

I have run my Ad-Aware and my Spy-bot repeatedly, and my AVAST!. I suspect Malware, but nothing has turned up.

I downloaded and ran 'Hijack This' and can't interpret the findings.

I've downloaded and run CPorts to see if I can find some odd thing taking over my computer.

I am at the point where I am ready to 'Format:C' and begin all over again.

I truly am at the end of my rope and pray that someone can help me before I just wipe my hard drive and reinstall everything.
