I don't know why I was sent to software forum when panda scan dtertermines that my

computer is infected please review my scan thank you......I tried attaching my scan but it says it was already attached if you go to software forum that is where you will find the log.

Have you uninstalled Firefox, removed the directory and reinstalled? If not try this first.

Also, can you attach a current HJT log?

 

I tried to uninstal from my add remove programs and it did not go any where it still remains it will not budge off my add and remove list in the control program, I don't know how to remove it from the directory either? Please help, thank you very much for taking time to help me I really do appreciate it..

 

Try this..

Download Your Uninstaller! 2006 5.0.0.235

Install, run the program and try to uninstall this way. This should work with no problems.

Also, can you attach a current HJT log?

 

Ok I did the uninstaller download and I did see the mozilla was removed however it still remains on my desk top how can I remove it from my desk top?

 

You mean the icon? If so, right click and delete.

Download and install the latest version...

Let's rename HijackThis.exe to "analyze.exe" and attach a new log. The reason for this is because some infections today are hiding from HJT due to the name.

I also see where you have had previous help with Malware. Because you have been thru a few things I would like a fresh Panda log. If you will run this online scan and attach the log with the fresh HJT log to your next post and I will check when I return.

that is weird I changed the name of the Hijack This.Exe to analyze.exe. I don't know why it is still listed as Hijack this .exe??

I sent you to software, because the problem you are having with Firefox is not Malware related. It is a software issue. Runtime errors are software problems.

Not everyting listed by Panda is bad, I had you delete the stuff that was bad.

Your Panda log is not posting, add a blank line to the log and post it.

This is the last time I am going to say this to you. Take a deep breath, step away, and wait for the person who was helping to reply. Constantly bumping your thread is not going to get you an answer any faster.

 

Why does the panda scan say that my computer is infected? if you go look in the software forum you will see my panda scan there, the panda scan also says that my computer has two critical hijacks

 

ok this is getting very upsetting, noone seems to be tending to my concerns and I am affraid if I don't get help soon I will have to move onto another forum..........I said the panda scan comes up with 1 infection and 2 hacker tools Please someone help me........I have been waiting here paitently since yesterday!

PandaScan Logs do not belong in teh software forum. The are to only be posted in this forum.

I am terribly sorry about posting my panda scan in the software forum, someone from there had asked me if I did a panda scan and so I went and did the scan and figured they wanted to take a look at it, sorry it won't happen again. • Panda ActiveScan It will only fix certain viruses and trojans. Most items found will not be fixed. When it finishes the scan click on See Report . Then in the next window click Save Report. The default report name is Activescan.txt. Just save it where you can find it so you can attach to your message when you begin a thread with a request for help. The problem with Firefox is not Malware it is softwre related. That is why I sent you to software. There where 3 entries in your Panda log. 2 where for a potentially unwanted tool, that is actually part of SpySweeper. The other entry is for a registry entry reported by Panda but did not say where in the registry is was found.

Post a fresh Panda log and I'll look at it again.

 

Here Is my Panda scan results, I will wait to hear back from you, how come I set the messages to go straight to my email box and I only get one here and there? Anything weird about that, I have to always come back here to look to find out if there is new messages??

What did you install on your computer? You now have MyWay installed.

Using Add or Remove Programsin the Control Panel; uninstall the following:

Your not going to have all these, but look for them and uninstall everything you find.

All I see in my add remove programs are
mplayer and enabeling of games
and my search bar
do any of these relate to what you want me to delete?

Uninstall My Search bar.

Copy the contents of the below quote box to Notepad; Save As FixReg.reg to your Desktop.

Close Notepad.

Locate FixReg.reg on your Desktop. Double-click on it and answer 'Yes' when asked if you want to merge with the registry.

Now run Pocket Killbox:

Choose Tools -> Delete Temp Files and click Delete Selected Temp Files

Then after it deletes the files click the Exit (Save Settings) button.

NOTE: Pocket Killbox will only list the added files it is able to find on the system. So when you do the below, if some files do not show in the list after pasting them in, just continue..

Select:

• Delete on Reboot
• then Click on the All Files button.
• Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):
• Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
• Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).

If Killbox does not reboot or you get a Pending Operations type error message just reboot your PC yourself.

Now boot into SAFE MODE

Open ExplorerXP navigate to and DELETE the following: (Some of these may have already been deleted by Pocket Killbox)

Now run CCleaner. If you have Windows XP delete the contents of C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch.

Then, as an added precaution, Go to Start -> Run and type: cleanmgr and then click OK. Make sure the boxes for these are checked:
Temporary Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin

And Click OK.

REBOOT to Normal Mode.

Download
- Registry Search Tool

Unzip to your Desktop and double click on regsrch.vbs
(if you have script protection, please allow this to run)

In the dialog that opens enter the following:

Press 'OK'

The search will run for a while then alert you when it is finished.

Press 'OK' and copy the contents of the WordPad window and post in this thread

Download and Install CounterSpy; update the definitions and run a full system scan.

Make sure you have followed the directions in How to view hidden, system files & folders! and are familiar with How to view hidden, system files & folders!.

Run HijackThis. Click the 'Do a system scan only' button. Place a checkmark in the box next to the following lines:

Click on the 'Fix checked' button. Wait for HijackThis to finish; close HijackThis.

Reboot to Safe Mode.

Using Search in the Start Menu; search for palstart.exe. Delete every occurance.

Reboot to Normal Mode.

Post a fresh HijackThis log.

Now, let's address your Firefox issue. What is the error message you are recieving? Word for word.

 

Everytime I try to open my firefox browser.
