I remember it was such a sad day when Carol came on and said that GT had passed on to a better world as that was a day when I had felt like crap and couldn't decide whether to deneigh or accept my fate. I got a lot of inspiration from that man and I put a lot of faith in his words too. He and I didn't communicate but a couple of times but he was on here and I could read what he was saying. I had the feeling I could almost read what he was thinking too. Sounds strange but true.
I don't have many great days but when they come I enjoy them. It's just that my memory isnt what it should be cause I keep forgetting to take my camera with me to capture events happening around town.

Those pictures are from the first of this year. I didn't mean to disalusion anybody into thinking they were recent. I have them as a memory of what was :pukeand of what will be:eek again. I am a stage 4 cancer victim.Stage 4 is terminal and Doctors just make patients comfortable as they can. My cancer has been in remission for 7 months and will flare up again at anytime. However:hyper I am an exception to the rule and the Doc cant figure :confusedout why. I keep telling him it is attitude :foolish and he about believes me but still questions it.Life is wonderful so don't waste a minute of it on worry or stress or anything you have no control over, just live it,and love it.Iam and I do.
I'm not looking for sympathy or kind words I just want to be treated equal and just. My entire way of thinking is going throu a change and it scares me but I do accept it. It boiles down to too much time to think about the universe and everything around you and not keeping busy enuf.:zzz
I think I sound like a lot of :crap and I cant remember why:banghead I started this thread.????

    later much later hopefully:wave

on an other note happy birthday Darlene:heart

    Darlene,
Old souls are born every minute.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoS0BgDpwSM

They get wiser as they get older(but not to old). And the wiseness brings forth a new and young wisdom to accompany us as we travel down the road to maturity. With maturity comes a great wealth of careing and with that comes friendship. A smart person will count his/her blessings by how much they have, a wise person will count his/her blessings by the number of friends.:confused
[if it doesn't make sense ,thats ok]

    Lady Legalsuit,
I upgraded you a little. I have been known to come up with some good ones from time to time. One thing I did learn was 'never ask a lady her age' so that is why I ask the year of birth instead.:D It always comes out to 39 or abouts anyway.:eek

    Emms
We are allowed to moan and groan as much and as often as we want. We must also remember to have faith in ourselves and all others. :highfive

The silly things in life are what funny memories are made of so keep them comming and download into memory what you can for uploading at a latter restart.
On an other note , What year did your mother first start diapering her new red haired (probably bald) baby to prepare her for her meeting of a fellow called Doc?:cool

I better get while the gettin's good.

    <Smile> Thanks.

Notice you quoted me re asking age from another threadLOL Most people I know regardless of chronological age never seem to get past the "x9" year (that includes males;))...so it doesn't appear to only apply to the female species.:D

Your words are wisdom Obnoxious, makes me put my petty problems of the day/year in prospective, sometimes I forget to do that. Good to hear you're in remission and feeling well enough to chat with us.

FYI, I have a friend (mentor) that has been in late stage cancer remission for the majority of 10+ now, and baffles his doctors. I say he's just too stubborn to give in :) (he's irish) had a set back here an there but always bounces back and has late stage MS to complicate things more (also in remission). Amazing man just keeps on going, one of the most intelligent people I know; he has almost total recall and never stops learning new things. Also just remarried to a nurse who takes great care of him (when he lets her). It's really amazing what your mind can do/overcome if you give yourself the power to do so.

Thank you for your words of wisdom; hope I have given you some inspiration too.

When I try to converse with people I like to be able to relate to them in a way of years. Darlene and I are close to the same age so I know what was happening at that time and can relate to happenings. Emma is 26. doing the backwards math 2007 minus 26 equals 1981. In my life in 1981 I was out of work and trying to go to college and keep a marriage together. I flunked out in college, got divorced (1st time) and was still unemployed. That was 1981.

President Reagan says in his inaugural address January 20, "Government is not the solution to our problem. Government is the problem."

Iran releases all U.S. hostages January 20 (they are flown to Algiers following 444 days in captivity) after U.S. negotiators agree to unblock certain Iranian funds and Iran agrees to repay U.S. bank loans.

Pope John Paul II is wounded at Rome May 13 in an assassination attempt in St. Paul's Square.

all this went on in 1981.
So you see age isnt a time in knowlege only time is knowlege. to me years are times when something happened and that something caused you to be born be it war or excitement or gov. corruption.Think about it.take your partner or friend and think about what was happening when that person was born and what it was like back then.

To draw a circle you put a pencil down on paper and start moving it. you go around until the ends meet then you stop. you have a start point and a stop point.(kindergarten learning)
A circle is infinity no start no stop.(science class)
    which one is correct???
Scientists have seen the end of the universe but have they??/ what is beyond? what is holding us up?/( beside thieves)
how can a complex human being be made from one cell?or two cells?

Well, as it happens, I will be in the V.X.9 category in a few weeks. I won't say which value the 'x' is at, though LOL.

Yes, life is literally what we want to make of it. We can't always control what events that go on round us, and certainly not the words/actions of others (even if that was desirable), but we can learn to control our own mindset, and how choose to react and interact, both with ourselves, and others.

I went down the so-called 'death sentence' path about fifteen years back. I was one of the lucky ones, and beat the odds, (albeit not without some after effects). Guess I had a lot to live for at the time. I'm only just beginning to find that point again.

We all have our various tragedies and mishaps, which will vary as much as people themselves vary. Some are major by any standards, some may seem relatively minor, but suffering is a fate that we all share at various points in our lives. The good things make life worthwhile. The bad things, whilst given the fact no one enjoys them, none the less strengthen us, and make us stronger. Both are necessary phases in the journey that we call 'life'.

We can choose to focus on the negative, and become a perpetual 'victim' in life, or we can become a winner, in spite of, or sometimes, because of our adversities. The choice is ours.

Growing forward in life, wether circumstance are good, bad, or in between, isn't just a good idea, or desirable, but necessary keys to our survival, i.m.o.

We all have our stories, and we can all learn and grow from each other. As I'm reminded in times when life is a 'downer', of the line from the old movie "It's a Wonderful Life’, "No one is a failure who has friends".

    <...Okay, I'll shut up, now, LoL> :D
