I flew too close to the sun...

mistake #
1) tried to fix a friends laptop
2) deleted 2 bho's and some other stuff on hijack this

now the computer logs up to the windows page where you select what account you wanna open and when u click it flickers and comes back to that screen again. i cant get into the main page again. i tried safe mode. i tried safe mode to cmd prompt but it brings me to that same page. i tried repairing thru windows xp disk but when i press r for repair it goes to a command prompt, asks me which account, i choose and enter a password then it justs sits there at c:\windows>. i can type stuff but i dont really know what to type. is there anything i can do to salvage the computer?? i was trying to even do a restore from command prompt. i got to %systemroot%\system32\restore\ but when i tried to get file rstrui.exe. it said invalid location. please help computer gods. please.

 

forgot to mention. virus was a dns-changer codec and some vundo variants?? also an update i went thru and repaired windows. when i got bck to my desktop i cleaned it again. it found like 20 virus again i cleaned it w SAS and MB and restarted and AGAIN i get to the blue screen where i click the account and it flashs and goes back to that screen again. so now i think that erasing the virus did this and not deleting the bho's maybe?? so frustrating. any help would be much appreciated

 

i had tried that w no success. i found out i had some log on log off virus that deleted userinit.exe. i used ERD to replace the file now im back up. thanks guys.
