    Heres the deal:

*I cleaned my registry, uninstalled programs, etc. I accidentally deleted my sound card
*I followed your guidelines and ran EVEREST which indicated I need
Audio Adapter ATI SB200 - AC'97 Audio Controller
but everytime I try and download it I get a Page load error and the link dies.
*I tried system restore and that didn't work either

Any help would be fabuloso. Thanks guys

    Hi

Slightly different tactic, what is the make and model of your PC, is it a DELL, HP or SONY etc if so post he make and model version.

Post the Windows version your using.

as for Everest, need to attach the full log and when running the Wizard to create the log, choose text (txt) file output then attach it to your next post using these instructions HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post

can posting my report in anyway be dangerous making that info public? I have the report and want to post - just curious about the safety of it?

    Thanks

    Hi

HP drivers for your model PC are here, as you have the ATI chipset then install the ADI 1981B Audio Driver for Windows 2000/XP driver for Audio.

May also be worth installing the ATI M9/M10/RC300M VGA Driver for Windows 2000/XP as if I remember correctly it also has the chipset drivers as well.

Also do you have any Yellow ! marks in Device Manager?

Ah I see on logs, you can edit out of the test file any name and personal identifiable info if you wish first, but as we know your PC model it tells us al the driver needed anyways, so log in the case of a laptop thats not likely to be hardware upgraded doesnt add much more.

    Hi

Try the link again as its ok for me now, FTPs have a tendency to be flaky at times.

Looking by your list of Device Manager highlights, you have more drivers missing, so i would start with the ATI M9/M10/RC300M VGA Driver as not only does it contain the Graphics driver but it contains many of the chipset drivers.

The you are going to as well as the Audio driver need the, Modem driver Choose the one for your CPU type so if you have Intel CPU choose that if AMD choose that, then harder one is the Network LAN driver as their are many, so will need you to in Evertest click Network, then Windows Network and tell us what the Network Adpater adnd Interface is.

    halo-

For some reason I cannot download the chipset or the VGA driver. From the hp site it gives me "page load error" or "go to higher directory" notices. I've tried many times.

Also - It's not my internet connection as I can access any webpage except the link to the driver and chipset.

Can I get the driver and chipset somewhere else?

    Hi

Yes I have downloaded the Audio and Chipset VGA drivers and uploaded them to my Skydrive account here (Skydrive is online storage)

Will leave them in the folder named Mdub for a few days so you can grab them.
