Without really looking at the site, and on a smartphone at present as works security blocks all forums and other sites, I would say that its a forum and being such, coukd post good info or just junk that doesnt stand up legally, as i say an initial quick look i did.

Do you feel as if the information on a specific scam is real and csn be tracked with more concrete evidence? do some extra research if you are looking for a specific scam and more evidence the better and can sway you one way to it being a scam and the other for it being just a disgruntled customer.

will give it a better look later when at home, but if you have a specific scam or possible one your looking at post it here, gives me something to go on.

Yeah scams as in a lot of the ones asking for money to be sent, or you have a long lost dead rich uncle who wants to give you $1m but you have to send the lawyer (or similar) a few 100$ dies catch many out still, sadly you can only try and educate people, but in the main it comes at a point too late as they have been already scammed. These emails will go on for years and already have done so, do they are not new but still catch folk out.

I've always maintained that the companies selling PCs should give at least basic training packges or guides with new PCs (more draconian is like your driving test a test to be able to go on the internet) but that still needs folk to read them, which in many cases they dont, so we always end up with after the fact crys for help, see malware forum for instance, as its not rocket science to keep safe as possible on the net from malware in the main, always some going to get through, but majority is well..... dont have to spell it out the causes! But educating users is not easy as to the pitfalls on the internet age, we do a good job on Majorgeeks I feel, but its a drop in the ocean, but can do only so much, pity there are not more if the old government infomercials fron the 60s back spelking this sort of thing out.

Many that get scanmed actually cannot afford to be as they are a vunerable group in the low paid or retired, which is what the lure of quick easy money scams are aimed at. Then you get the other scams if bogus websites selling duff goods, counterfeit goods etc

Its a minefield out on the world wide webby, need to trust nothing that seems too going to be true and onky give personal info to those you really trust. One if the reasons we do filter as much as possible the buy sell trade forum, and only approve things we feel are genuine, but in the end we cannot spot everyobe who could be a bad seller or buyer, so basically its buyer beware and be 100% sure before sending any money on the net, be that on a forum or official looking website.
