I Got The WMF Exploit!...Help!

First of all,Im the biggest computer dummy there is...Im 53yrs. old and have to hunt and peck to type.I can navigate my PC info a little bit,but dont understand much of the tech stuff so please be patient.(I mostly just play games).Anyway,I use a HP Pavillion 2002,WinXP,sp2,2.52GHz,512RAM,Avast Home,Windows Antispyware Beta and CCleaner.Yesterday Avast alerted me to:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\K5MFGDMZ\xpl[1].wmf [L] WMF Exploit (0).It recommended putting it in chest file but when i tried i got this:While moving file to chest, error occurred: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.I checked the task manager and didnt find anything.(dont really know what to look for anyway.)Anyway,Ive been checking around and it seems like everyone has a different idea on how to block it.Any ideas on how to get rid of it?Should I do a system restore?Does that get rid of it?And My Avast said ..You have a virus. "but dont worry,even if you do nothing"...Well,is it alright as is for now?Microsoft is supposed to come out with a (fix?) around the 10th they say.A little advice would greatly be appreciated.(Please remeber that your giving it to a REAL comp. dummy.Thanks, Lost
