I hate this stupid computer nearly as much as windows vista! Help!!

I am having problems with relatively new PC, running windows vista. My son has been playing world of warcraft on it and it has started crashing or 'mini dumping' during game play. The system is much slower than it was and internet explorer is doing some funny things. It redirects you to some obscure web page at any given opportunity and opens new windows for everything. I tried to complete your malware removal guide and have had problems downloading tools. Super antispyware initially 'mini dumped' every time I tried to complete instilation and when I eventually got it to install, windows vista keeps telling me that SAS has stopped working, but wont tell me why. Not getting very far with malwarebyets either, everytime i click on any of the download links it directs me to an internet explorer error page, which wants me to click to 'diagnose network problems'. It then tells me there is no problem with the network, which I no, because i can access all other aspects of it! C cleaner downloaded and ran fine, and combo fix seems ok.
