I don't even know what to say to myself anymore. That's why I haven't been online I've been just trying to do damage control... but every time I seem to make progress it all goes away and gets even worse.

I don't know what to do anymore. I feel just backed into a corner. I need to take a moment to just think, and come out swinging. If I'm going down it's not without a fight.

Wenchie, as sad as I am - I'm a regular lottery player, the first thing I would do with a win would be to send you a nice cheque!
Keep going, it will get better :)

Yep, never give up. About the only good thing about misfortune is, like good fortune, it won't last forever - even though it seems to at times, I'll admit. Remember, you have many friends, both here and I.R.L., (including yours truly;)), so you don't have to do it alone.

Take it a day at a time - or even an hour at a time if you have to, and don't be afraid to share the load.

Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your Gran., (HUGZ!) :).

God, wenchie, I'm really sorry to hear that things took a turn for the worse. :(

    Keep fighting.

Keep fighting, Wenchie. I hadn't posted until now since, well, I don't really know what to say - I've never been through anything like what you're going through.

There always seems to be a run of bad things, then something good eventually comes out of it. Personal experience has taught me that something good often has a bad habit of masquerading as something bad, though - enough so that I miss it most of the time.

I'm hoping and praying that you and your grandmother get through this. :)

I said a Prayer For You Today

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
    Although he spoke no word!

I didn't ask for wealth or fame
    (I knew you wouldn't mind).
I asked him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!

I asked that he be near you
    At the start of each new day;
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way!

I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small.
But it was for his loving care
I prayed the most of all!

Don't jinx it but Grandma lived through surgery. Maybe someone up there heard me after all. And apparently the 20% was surviving the surgery, I thought it was chances in general. I should be able to see her today. I hope she keeps fighting, all the way through. Keep your fingers crossed.

I would love to be able to help you Wenchie in your hour of need but platitudes are not enough.

If it's any consolation I have had 5 serious operations on my back/neck/ shoulder and hips in an attempt to get me walking again.
Earlier this year everything was going well and i could get around on crutches but in the last two months things have gotten bad because some of the screws and plates have started to come loose in my back and it looks like i will be under the knife again ( i had last Christmas in hospital and its not looking too rosy for this one),it's not the fault of the surgeon but the fact that my skeleton is turning to chalk (calcification) so believe me when i say i know how you feel, thinking things will never improve.

The only thing i can do to stop from getting really depressed is to think of all the good people around me and that includes all the fantastic guy n gals here.

I don't get to converse in real time with a lot of you because we are 8 or 9 hours ahead of most the US but one of my real pleasures is to read the news that has been going on while i slept.

I try not to burden people with my misery (mainly because i did the damage too myself) but it's nice to have friends who will give a comforting word when you feel at the bottom of the pit.

I really and sincerely hope thing improve for you in the near future and you will always be in my thoughts.

    Lottsa luv

Hello Wenchie:wave! My thoughts and prayers are with you. What happened with your SSI? I am on SSDI, and I had to fight them in court because they said I owed them $30,000 back, after I tried to go back to work. I got a legal aid (free) attorney and won the case. I even got over $2,000.00 back that they apparently owed me and a raise in both my & my son's checks! So sometimes things do work out!;) My husband had open heart surgery in February of this year and had complications afterwards. We have since gone to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and found out that he has a progressive neurological condition that has no known treatment at the present time. We spent a week at the Mayo Clinic...he was an out-patient. Our friends got together and raised $1,400 to give us so that we could rent a motel room during our stay, instead of tent camp in a campground. That money paid for our hotel room, which we just happened to get a weekly discount on. So again, see sometimes things really do work out!;) Just hang in there and keep hoping & praying & venting to Geeks and your family & friends. All really will be well!:) With hugs & prayers your way, Shanrene
