I know. XP Pro....

HI. I've found myself having to format C: on my old desktop:

P4C 800e Deluxe Mobo
Intel Pentium 4 3hz
2gs of Ram
XP Pro SP1.
HIS Radeon HD 4670 AGP

I asked for a help with this same desktop a month or two ago and things seemed to be working pretty good until a couple of days ago. I use to be able to watch streaming live news casts from CBC, yes I'm a Canuck So I opened up Task Manager and seen that my CPU was running up to 40% and then back to 0% even after I shut everything down with just the task manager opened. So I figured it was time for a fresh install. I know that XP is not supported but I never figured that all the Service packs would not still be available.

So I've tried searching these threads and found a couple of links that gave links to these file but when I tried to install service pack 3, which I thought contains both SP 2 and 3 it turned out to be a hot fix. :*(

I also need Direct X 9 or higher.

So is there anyone out there that knows a fix for my problem please?

I'd upgrade but haven't worked since May of 2014 and can't afford to buy anything at the moment. This machine is only for my wife to surf FB and keep in contact with me when I do return to work in Alberta which is 3000 miles from my home.
