Note to anyone else reading this thread: The below procedure was specifically created for this user. It is not a generic fix to be used by everyone. If you are not this user, you MUST NOT use this fix on your PC or you could cause damage to your PC.
    • Please download The Avenger by Swandog46 to your Desktop.
    • Double click on Avenger.zip to open the file and extract avenger.exe to your Desktop
    • Copy the below quoted text (which is a script for Avenger) into your clipboard by highlighting it and pressing CTRL+C
    • Now, run The Avenger program by double clicking its icon on your Desktop.
    • Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".
    • Now click on the Magnifying Glass icon which will open a new window titled "View/edit script"
    • Paste the text copied to clipboard into this window by pressing (Ctrl+V).
    • Click Done
    • Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
    • Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.
The Avenger will automatically do the following:
    • It will Restart your computer. (When the script being executed contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually reboot your system two times.)
    • On reboot, it will briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
    • After the reboot, it creates a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
    • The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.
Please copy/paste the content of c:\avenger.txt into your next message.

You also need to follow the directions in step 7 of the READ & RUN ME and install HijackThis properly. You are running it exactly where we specify not to run it. Also HJT logs must be obtained from normal boot mode. Please fix this and then continue with the below.

You have multiple other problems to fix. One is a new form of Qoologic.

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm
    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Userinit.exe,skfekdm.exe
    O2 - BHO: CControl Object - {3643ABC2-21BF-46B9-B230-F247DB0C6FD6} - C:\Program Files\E2G\IeBHOs.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [wc201401.dll] RUNDLL32.EXE wc201401.dll,I2 000012690c201401
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TheMonitor] C:\WINDOWS\CheckS02.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qwlnav] C:\WINDOWS\system32\qghwax.exe reg_run
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [w0388385.dll] RUNDLL32.EXE w0388385.dll,I2 0000126900388385
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [w00182ce.dll] RUNDLL32.EXE w00182ce.dll,I2 00001269000182ce
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [w001101c.dll] RUNDLL32.EXE w001101c.dll,I2 000012690001101c
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [w005c818.dll] RUNDLL32.EXE w005c818.dll,I2 000012690005c818
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [mtspb] C:\WINDOWS\system32\qghwax.exe reg_run
    O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
    O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: iniwin32.dll

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.:

Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.
Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST).

Now we need to Reset Web Settings:
    1. If you have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, goto step 2. If not, skip to step 3.
    2. Now right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK. Then skip step 3.
    3. If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, click Start, Control Panel (for some systems it may be Start, Settings, Control Panel), Internet Options, Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.
Now reboot your PC (in normal mode) and post a new HJT log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now. We are definitely not done yet with Qoologic.

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.

Chaslang, first of all I want to say thank you for your help. You must have endless patience.......I admire that. I also admire your willingness to help a total stranger out.
Secondly I reran all the steps in read and run me first section of the forums.
I tried to run avenger before i reran the steps. It seems someone was trying to help me while i was away from my computer and didnt know that they were actually hurting my process of getting the computer fixed.
I reran hjt from its folder in the program files of the c drive. Sorry about my screw up the first time around.
I didnt run into any problems running any of the programs. I am attaching all the new scans from the programs and HJT.
I imagine i will need a new script with different dll files to delete as they probably have different names. I'm not sure.
Let me know!!!! And thanks again!!!!

Also a question. Why are the below running?

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\xcopy.exe

I looked at a co workers computer and his set up is the same as mine. he did not have any of the 3 exe files running in his processes under task manager. I dont think those should be running. The cmd exe keeps popping up when i reboot and i have to end now to be able to reboot.
also I ran avenger again and when it rebooted i got a bunch of dll errors that popped up.....about 7 or 8???
so here is the avenger log.....
    Thanks!

They are all valid Windows files. I'm just not sure why they are running. Let's see what happens after we finish removing all the malware.

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now.

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.

I just realized you never installed the proper version of HijackThis. You should get the proper 1.99.1 version installed.

However, your log is clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to go back to step 1 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points. Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

After that, you should work thru the below link:

How to Protect yourself from malware!

We took care of Qoologic during the cleanup steps I already had you run. You had one of the easier forms.
