Just go to the Lost & Found department. They'll probably have me sitting on a chair sucking a lollipop. :D

I was in bed when you lost me last night/this morning. I start work 1 1/2 hours earlier than I used to, and getting older, I need my sleep more. ;)

Ocassionally I'm still ambulatory into the wee hours, but when that happens you'll usually find bruises on my butt the next morning from kicking myself.

Yep, some of us oldies are still kickin' around.

Though, as the G.Man said, we aint as young as we used to be, ya know. ;)

<I'll have to have a proper yak to ya one of these days, Gary - Just don't seem to have much free time, nowadays> :)

http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif For some reason, I want to see you do that.
Gary how have you been? I just crawled out of my cave a few weeks ago and I'm finally starting to move around. I did check for you at the Lost and Found, the only thing I found there was a woman who looked bored to death. Maybe you had stepped out for a few seconds when I had looked.

    @Wobbles ... I wouldn't lose him if he didn't squirm so much.

@Phantom .... Not much time? What have you been doing with your time? I would have figured you would have ample time to keep up with everyone. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

That time of night, look for me in a dark room with the covers pulled over my head. (I won't mention the padded walls. :D)

I guess it was quite late. I had intended on getting in here earlier but my phone was ringing off the hook and by the time everyone finally stopped calling .... it was late. At those hours, I'm sure to run into Barry. With the 12 hour difference between us, it works out just right. While he's having his morning coffee, I'm having my bedtime cup.

G.T. you still at the same job?

One of these days your going to have to tell me more about the type of parts you sell and if it's for large planes or just the smaller ones.

Now I gotta run. If I get a chance before I leave, I'll pop back in. Incase I don't ....Have a good weekend.

Knowing my lifestyle, surely you jest, right? :p

Ya, G.T.'s still folding paper planes and throwing them in class, ROFL! ;)

If I had some of this 'spare' time people reckon I have, I would stay and yak a while....But...Gotta go!

See you all soon. Stay well. :)

Nah, I graduated to balsa & paper rubber band powered last month. Moving up. :p :D

SMT, my current company sells primarily aftermarket parts for general aviation aircraft. That's basically everything smaller than the airlines run. Business jets down to Piper Cubs. Aftermarket for aviation is quite a bit different than aftermarket car parts though. In most cases, we're selling the same parts the aircraft manufacturers use, except for the actual airframe parts, where the manufacturers have FAA approval to sell directly. (Some parts can only be bought from the aircraft manufacturers themselves.) Teledyne Continental and Lycoming engines, TCM Bendix and Unison magnetos, Goodyear, Goodrich, and Cleveland wheels and brakes, yadda yadda. We have our own FAA certified hose shop, and overhaul brake assemblies and starter-generators. All parts that go on a plane must be FAA approved, generally for the specific plane it's going on. Repair shops must be FAA certified as well. Very tightly regulated industry. The department I'm currently in deals only in Piper factory airframe parts, in a joint venture with a large Piper distributor based in Florida. They sell the aircraft, we sell all their parts and provide technical support, and we're the largest Piper parts distributor in the world. Which isn't all THAT large. We sell around a million dollars a month, which is a small part of the overall company's size. Liability in this industry is heavy duty, as bad advice and stupid mistakes can kill people and generate huge lawsuits.
