I lost "wuamjrd.exe"

    I dont think its an xp file.

    Highly doubt that as the real windows update client is wuauclt.exe and should only be found in the c:\windows\System32 folder, if anywhere else it should be concidered a trojan/virus.

    That is more likely to be spyware related as HJT picks it up as this O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Micr0s0ft Update Machine] wuamjrd.exe ... last I remember is that WU is not run from the RUN keys in the registry but from a service.

    I would Walt004 be reading through this part of the forum and if you still have a problem with that file then post a question in the spyware section of the forum.
