I love this place

Y'know, some days I just love Major Geeks.

I did some rearranging of the home today and while I was at it, i set up a print server. I had moved my all-in-one to the bedroom as that is where the cable modem/phone line thingy from the cable company and all is located because I needed to utilize the fax functions, and I liked the idea of being able to fax stuff from home. The problem was that it was not hooked up to the network for me to print from my office in the back of the apartment (I have a huge apartment).

Well... on to why I love MG so much.

I was having trouble getting to see the computer that the printer was hooked too from my office PC, so I finally came here after trying all the tricks I could think of, and after 5 minutes of searching the networking forum, I found the solution (tweak the settings on my software firewall... ZoneAlarm) and now it is all working well, I can even fax from the PC without having to print and fax..... THANK YOU MG!!!!

Thanks Nata... I love my dual monitors, and someday when I'm rich, I will have a whole bunch of flat panels instead of just 2 monitors Can you say ubergeek??

THanks Tim... all is well here, hope you and yours are doing well also... haven't seen ya since the last geeksfest we had, heheheh.. I still like the Yeungling, although, I think that was CP that got that started.
