I made my computer angry !

I think I just went through some weird initiation "right of passage" while trying to pimp my pc. I was messing around in this scary place called System 32 where it seems abbreviations and almost english looking words rule the land. Long story short, when I tried to reboot my little sucker disappeared and I soon was informed in very strict, "old, computer blocky type lettering" that I had sc@#*%d up and was thus faced with doing my first system restore. Well, thankfully, this thing knew what to do: time travel. And now it's just a little after 9 o'clock, just before I did (or didn't) do to anger whoever types stuff from behind this screen.
On a slightly less troubling issue for me, I was just wondering if anybody had input on Firefox 3.5 and an additional "fix" do out soon. What problems would I recognize of the latest glitches I've read about ? Is it just slower or is there a real security threat lke some have implied ? : Thanks for your time.

 

I have made my PC angry on numerous occasions and been given the same message as you "you screwed up"
I am now a past master at the rescue and recovery known as "system restore and their buddy re-format" i am trying to find a program out there in ethernet land that will tell me "you are about to screw up" which would be much more useful than all this after the event stuff.
I believe Bill G designed PCs just to torment the mentally slow people like me and give us sleepless nights worrying about the next meltdown.

 

It is friday morning here :wave . When I went online, Firefox 3.5 has automatically updated its new patch to fix the problem [ a very bad security issue where hackers found an 'in' to redirect browsers and hack into one's system with Bugzilla ]. So far everything works well now. I don't see any problems or changes with the browser.....it is safe now from the nasties.
