I was fed up with the time involved with running steps to remove malware and thought "Hey, why don't I just use this handy feature and reset everything to the way it was when I took it out of the box". Well, things aren't like it was back then! I get mulitple error messages telling me that it 'cannot find disk', I hit cancel or next and it gives another error message that it cannot find some other disk and just keeps going on and on. It also does not appear to have gotten rid of whatever malware I didn't take the time to remove...Ctrl+Alt+Del says it was 'disabled by administrator'.:( My question is...what next? Do I try system recovery again? Way back when I burned some CDs with the info on them too, should I try those instead? Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you use the CDs that you burned it should return your PC to the state it was when you burned them.
Just put the first CD in and re-boot, it should then start the re-format procedure.
If the PC was clean when you made the CDs it will return to that condition.

I just tried again and get the following error message after recovery is done: There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \device\Harddisk1\DR11. After hitting cancel several times the message changes to end with \DR13 \DR15 and \DR17. Any thoughts or suggestions for me?
