i have an old xp first the sound went then the key board stoped working lm using on line key board .i tryed my avg and reimage still cant get the problem .can you help.thanks

Actually it sounds more like hardware issues. Do you have another keyboard you can try? Do the keyboard and sound work in safe boot mode? If you are saying you reimaged the PC then it very improbable it is malware.

But we can check for malware is you want but I have a feeling these issues are not due to malware.

no i dont have another key board, safe mode is the same. reimage isa proram that fixes these things.but not this time.thnks

Try to borrow one from a friend for a short time frame. Also make sure that you do not have certain USB ports or keyboard interfaces disabled in your BIOS. I suggest that you post in the Software Forum unless you wish to pursue the malware course but I think it is not malware.
