i need a littel help with a slot

    i have not used these slots insome time i always used the pci slots i am trying to remember the name of them long black slots next to the pci slots can someone help me remember what they are

    isa slots? you must have a 5 year old computer.

    how did you guess my pc is 5years old its a compaq deskpro 500mhz 64mb ram 16mb video win98se and it was made in 1999 isa slots are not in new computers? i use them when ever i have to test old cards for people and i do that a lot

    ISA is correct. You can still buy a couple of new motherboards with an ISA slot, however they are marketed toward the industrual desktop/workstation applications.
