Ok, I have NIS2008 and it says everything is ok. Well, I was just redirected to a site about an hour ago. It was xpscan or something like that. Anyway, it said I had 3 known problems. The alarming one had something to do with info stealing. I closed the site out and didn't do what it suggested. Dumb move or smart one? I then downloaded Spybot search and destroy. The only thing it came up with is something called registrysmart. It couldn't fix everything there. It said something about running it as an Admin. How do I do that? Something else I could download to make sure I'm really safe?

Never mind about the run as administrator thing. I at least figured that out.

I'll do this but first I need to ask how I set this account to administrator level. Do I leave it at that after I do it? I'm the only one that uses this computer.

Are you saying that it is not already an account with administrator priviledges?

You check and set User Accounts from Control Panel, User Accounts.

Well, it says it is. So, why did I have to choose run as administrator with Spybot before it would let me do certain things. Anyway, I'll check that link out later tonight. Since I'll have a lot of time then.

You should not need to be admin to begin with; however you need to realize that using Run As Administrator is not the same as having administrator priviledges. Run As Admin is really running with the user account named Administrator and uses the priviledge settings assign to that account.

I thought I'd have a lot of time. I'm not purposely stretching this out but can you tell me what launcher.exe is? It is listed under system startup in Spybot. The filename is relaunch.exe It says it is a spyware component related to DownloadWare and found in Program FilesKFH
