    hello all first post

i have a whole bunch of stuff on my pc cant seem to get rid of a number of files that are i guess maleware or trojens or something. i use spybot and nod 32 and ccleaner. but they are always reload on roboot i guess? but i dont always reboot for days and they still come back. now i have finnally found i think where they all are.. found them bunched up in my.hkey_current_usser/software/microsoft/search assistance/acmru/5603

    file (list)foxflpd.exe--dxpvqlmqng.dll--ampkfst.dll--xpantivirus--pcsecuresystem-
    uga6pcw.exe--bklgvsf.dll--

now thought this was creative labs thing. google says its a file for sb sound cards.some say trogen but in my registry when i click on xpantivirus it gives the value data as devdler32.exe

there is more but i think u get the picture

now can i go into safe mode and delete these out ? and will they stay out?

if anyone has the time to help that would be great
tried to attach but it wouldn't let me

not really sure if this info is relevent or not but the last couple of days that i have been looking for all these files i have found them grouped in this area i guess u would call it..

i also had found today foxflpd.exe in c:\windows the date was jan 3/08
and 2 others fvkwdrt.exe and alxvdvm.dll deleted all 3. and when i found out u could "find "in regedit i found this foxflpd.exe in my recycler in both the c and d drive. d is just storage not sure how it got on there. now i just find them which is all of them in my search assistance place. including txt to show where and whats in there

also not sure if this is related i have a scvhost running like 120,000 handles. now i have like 5-6 running but this is the only one with so many handles and i dont know what "handle " means or is
    hope this is helping

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
Now download The Avenger by Swandog469, and save it to your Desktop.

    * Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    * Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    * Check the 'Input script manually' box.
    * Click on the magnifying glass icon.
    * Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it in the box that opens:

    * Now click the 'Done' button.
    * Click on the traffic light icon and OK the prompt.
    * You will be prompted to restart, OK the prompt and your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    * A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Avenger.

Can you use windows to find and delete those files?
Also I see that the Avenger.exe is dated Feb. 2006....?

k ive done that. the only 2 that weren't on hd was #3 and last one. i looked at avenger i have 11/06/2007 for the exe not sure how that is never downloaded this before.. till like 2 days ago
i haven't run any scans or went snooping around. didn't want to interfere with what u are doing. i have noticed my computer isn't infected with pop ups saying to buy pccleaner any more and my pc isnt laging either. well a little bit my cursor blinks funny and in task manager the blue line flashes/pulses.. the hd isn't sounding like its writting/reading all the time. it was before..

Any other dates off on your system? Are you having any other problems?
    Let's do the final steps:
If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
    * Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    2. If we used ComboFix, you can delete the ComboFix.exe file, C:\ComboFix folder, C:\QooBox folder, C:\WINDOWS\nircmd.exe, C:\combofix.txt and C:\ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt logs that was created.
    3. If we user SDFix you can delete all the SDFix related files and folders from your Desktop or whereever you installed it.
    4. If we used SmitFraudFix, you can delete all files and folders related to it now including the c:\rapport.txt log.
    5. If we used VundoFix, you can delete the VundoFix.exe file and the C:\VundoFix Backups folder and C:\vundofix.txt log that was created.
    6. If we had your run FixWareOut, you can delete the Fixwareout.exe file and the C:\fixwareout folder.
    7. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    8. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    9. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    10. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
    * Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
    * Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    11. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
    * How to Protect yourself from malware!
