i need help, plz.

can n e 1 help me? my boys have downloaded sumthing that i cannot delete. it is in my internet temporary files, and when i try to delete it tells me that another program is using it and it will not go. it is also altering my program files and being a real nuisance. ihave formated my hard drive and re-installed windows and this file keeps being included in my new internet files. sorry i am not very good at this, help me plz??????

I would recommend you to the malware removal thread. This will make sure that your system is free from viruses, spyware, and the like. This will also establish a baseline upon which we can further troubleshoot your problem, if one still exists after following these instructions. (My guess is there probably won't be!) At the very least, it will set you up with an excellent, free, redundant defense against malware.

 

It seems you may have a "self-replicating" file and Mada's given the first port of call a further suggestion to this is to DL CCleaner (on that thread) and use the Uninstall options within tools to remove it but if this doesn't work then try this:

Chrz m8, been movin house, new ISP (connectivity delays but now 10 x faster ), fixing others PC's, missus finishing Uni, etc etc, but I'm back to help if and when. Sounds like a self replicating file imo and my m8 had a few straight into Your Uninstaller! 2006 bin and well I have'nt seen em again?!? I think it did the trick.
