I need HELP! to remove "Antivirus XP 2008"

    I have read a little but I am not sure I am doing this righ need help in removing this "Antivirus XP 2008" my desktop screen is drk blue and this just keeps running HELP!

    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

    [Thanks for all the help][/QUOTE]My op system is XP - I have been working on the list for downloads to my desktop I do not know how and or were combofix.exe went I down loaded it and it went away?? not sure were, I stated to down load MGtools.exe but after I click on run a black screen pops up in I think DOS and does nothing not sure whet to do with this? I am still in step one of down loading the cleaning programs. I have never been in safe mode well downloading this, shold I be in safe mode at this time.

    You need to set your downloads to the desktop.....(use windows search to find where you downloaded ComboFix and move it to the desktop) ...once you have MGTools on the desktop, you need to open my computer / C dirve / and just drag MGTools,exe onto that window and then you can run it.

    MGtools will open a dos window.....just be patient and it will run ( make sure you agree to the HJT license!
