I Need help with Norton Auto Protect!!

Alright well I had the trojan vundo virus on my laptop and I just got rid of it tonight using the tool found on this site. (thanks) When I ran the tool I turned off the internet, system restore, and norton auto-protect just like most instructions say to. Anyway the tool worked fine the virus is gone but now that I turned auto protect back on I cant open any web browsers. Everytime I try to open up mozilla firefox or internet explorer a little tab from norton pops up down by the taskbar saying something about a set of rules automatically made and so no pages will load. And it's not just that, any other program that requires connection wont work even though my wireless network is connected and the strength is excellent. This never happened before I had the virus or ran the tool. Im glad to have the virus gone but this still kinda sucks. If I want to do anything online I have to disable auto-protect for awhile, until it comes back on then it disconnects me again. Please write back if you can help.
