I Need Help

I did an online scan of my pc because it's going crazy...home page changed and cannot be changed back etc., the scan says I have 43 problems, several of the following
Torjan.Popuper
Trojan.Killar.AU
Virtumonde
Maxifiles
Media tickets
Trojan-Spy VB Stat'sd
Purity Scan
Worm.IM.Sohanad

I'm sorry, but I'm on a limited income and can't afford to spend a lot of money that the programs I've found want...is there any way I can manually remove them or a free tool I can use to clean the pc. I've done everything I know to do, including a systems restore, but nothing has worked. I have grandchildren who were using a program to get music and it was a shared thing...I deleted it but I suppose the harm was already done. Someone also opened a coolpics thing in Yahoo and I know that's part of the problem, I'm not an expert but am pretty computer literate so I can follow directions...I just don't know what direction to take.
Any help you could provide would be deeply appreciated,

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

• Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around..

• CounterSpy
• AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy
• Bitdefender - from step 6
• Panda Scan - from step 6
• runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
• newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
• HijackThis

NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
