I need help!!

Okay...I have used majorgeeks to get most of the files off my computer. I have downloaded numerous programs from here, Adv Window Cleaner, Spybot, AVG, etc

there are no viruses or malware being found on my system, but the problem I am having is that there are random sounds being played in my system. Like .wav files or something, one will laugh, one plays music, etc.

Anyone know anything about this? I really need to make sure my computer is safe, my credit card has already been hijacked...

I'm not sure this is a malware problem. It could be software and I recommend you run a parallel thread in the Software Forum to ask about this. It's possible that someone has put sound files into your system that are not among the original files. You can check what's in your system by going to Start / Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices. See if anything you're hearing is listed in there.

Also, you can do some checking yourself on this to see if it might be in one of your running processes by going to Start / Run and typing in msconfig and clicking on ok. In the window that opens up check diagnostic (not selective) startup and then go to the startup tab and check half the entries. Click on accept and okay. Allow your computer to run for awhile and see if you are still hearing the sounds. If so, then load your computer without any of the startup items checked and see if you are still hearing any of the sounds. If you can narrow down where the sounds are coming from, it will be easier to fix them. They may be associated with a messenger.

And finally, if you think it might be malware, please go through the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST and attach the requested logs.
