I need help

    i'm trying to help my friend fix some of his pc problems. when i try to open the "c cleaner" program i get this message: "ERROR IN FILE C:\\PROGRAM FILES\CCLEANER/WINSYS.INI LINE SPECIALKEY1:1_INT_TEMP 48-FILE NOT FOUND: WININET. WHEN I TRY TO RUN SPYBOT I GET THIS MESSAGE: A REQUIRED.DLL FILE, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WININET.DLL, WAS NOT FOUND

    I tried reloading these programs but i get the same messages, what does this mean? and can anyone help? thank you, allen

    The file you mentioned ( C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WININET.DLL ) is a Windows OS file. I assume you are not running WinXP or Win2K. It must be Win9x or WinMe. You need to get this file from the Windows CD (or see if it is anywhere else on the PC you can copy from) and put it back into the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder.
