I need Help

Hello,

I am having a very bad problem! I can not get to safe mode on my Dell dimension 2400?

I restart my computer...hit F8 it goes to the screen I select Safe Mode and I hit enter and it goes through but then it goes through these Dll Files or something then it stops with the files it popped up still showing??? It does nothing after that?

I heard about there is a way to do it from somewhere in the computer in normal mode ...but if it does the same thing I am afraid that it will be stuck like that and I will be ****!... because DELL doesn’t include Windows XP disc with there computers apparently

Is there a way to figure out whats going on because I don’t think I’m infected with anything I just want to make sure because I want to do what in the Sticky threads to make sure I have a clean system

 

If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you can run the scans in Normal Mode.

You can force the computer to boot to Safe Mode from MSCONFIG. However if it hangs during loading when you hit F8 then it may hangs as well when using MSCONFIG.

 

So would I be able to make it restart in Normal again if I use Msconfig and it hangs up?

Just run the scans in normal mode for now.
