I need Help

So i did the READ AND RUN ME FIRST and i dont know what that did. I am computer challenged, i think. I have AVG and it detected that i have the Trojan Horse Generic Virus. I followed all of the steps on the read and run me first, but i dont think it got rid of the virus for me. the security alert keeps coming up about how spyware is slowing down my computer and such. my homepage keep going to sysnetsecurity.net instead of google. It will go to google for a second but before the page can load up the internet will redirect itself to sysnetsecurity.net. I dont know what else to do. I have downloaded everything that page has told me to. I have the AVG program i bought online and Windows defender. Could you please help me and see what else i need to do! thank you so very much!!
