I need some help Please

After following yourself help before asking questions. To no avail I am having problems being bombarded with pop ups ads that say that your computer has a virus. I have ran virus check on it and it had the backdoor virus B and have corrected that problem. The computer that I am having problems with is a lap top and is running windows xp. The web browser page that normal runs on it is MSN, when I goto tools and goto internet options I cannont change the web page it looks like a spoof. If someone out there that knows how to fix this problem you would be doing me a great favor cause this is a computer that my daughter uses for college.

You had a case of spyware telling you that you have (had) a virus, in an effort to get you to download even more spyware. Go to the Spyware Specific forum and check the tutorial at the top there. Between AdAwareSE and Spybot S&D, you should be able to solve it. If it persists, post in that forum asking for assistance, and you'll get good help.
