I need some help

    My internet explorer browser keeps getting hijacked by guarduptodate.com and I need help asap. I didn't see anything suspicious in HJT, but here's my log.

    Please do not post HijackThis logs with out following the steps in the READ & RUN ME sticky thread. However what you need to run before the READ & RUN ME is the below:

    SpywareQuake & SpyFalcon Removal Procedure

    Then attach the smitfiles.txt log to your next message.

    Then you need to run the READ & RUN ME and attach the logs requested in step 6 & step 7. Make sure that you uninstall WinAntiVirus Pro 2006 in step 0!

    Sorry, I already followed the steps in that link but couldn't find any off the dll files it asked me to. BTW I'm trying to fix the computer at the restaraunt I work at so I can't be there all of the time, I'm currently at home. Is there anything I could have done wrong?

    I didn't have time to do all of the read and Run me but should that fix it if I follow it to a tee?

    If you have run that procedure, you should have attached the requested smitfiles.txt log so we can see the result. Your HJT log indicates that the procedure was either not run, was not run properly (safe mode), or it did not work properly. That is part of the reason we must see the log.

    You have multiple problems! Some the the READ ME will fix and some it probably will not. They only way we can find everything you may have wrong is by running ALL steps in the READ ME and then looking at the two logs from the online scanners which can show a lot more than just a HijackThis log.

    Did you look to see if you could uninstall WinAntiVirus Pro 2006 via Add/Remove programs yet?

    yeah, I didn't see it in there. I'll go ahead and try the READ ME again either tonight or in the morning and post the results. Thanks.
