I need someones help please

this is my 1st time here and posting but i need some help cuz i cant figure out what the problem is

when i shut down or restart ,, when my computer reboots i get the screen where windows xp is booting up with the 3 running blue lights on it. and then a big gray box comes up in the bar on the top it has this

which i cant make the symbols so i will try to explain it

6 clear boxes c:\windows\system32
and then in the box below it it has 2 boxes and i have to click ok to go onto the windows is setting up screen

i dont know what i have downloaded that has put this on my computer but i have tried everything

i dont know what i have to look for for this

can somebody help me out here please,, i wish i could make a screen print of it but it happens before my comp is up and running

Have you attempted a system restore to a date before this started happening?

Does it happen if you boot up into safe mode?

Have you done any changes to your registry lately?

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis
Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

CounterSpy

AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy

Bitdefender - from step 6

Panda Scan - from step 6

runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat

newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat

HijackThis

NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

i have done a system restore but to no avail
yes for safe mode rebooting
the only thing i have done to the registry is ,,, i used to have lavasoft on my comp and i always ran the watcher well 1 day i said to shut it down and let it the things do whatever it wanted to do ,, not knowing,, grrrr,, and after that is when this all started,, so today i have uninstalled that program

i have been following the instructions you told me to and when i try to install the getrunkey and shownow,,, it trys to open up a DOS looking window and then shuts down,, it wont let me install them
