    Hi,
    Recently I received an email with the subject "You've received a greeting card". I clicked the attached link, downloaded the e-card.exe and clicked to ran it. After clicking the e-card.exe, blue error screen of Windows (XP) appeared and it restarted. I logged on again and after about a minute, blue error screen appeared and it restarted again. I now can only ran Windows in Safe Mode. I have Window XP Professional Version 2002 with SP2 on my laptop.
    I found this site and followed the steps mentioned in "READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide". I could not install SUPERAntiSpyware, Windows Installer message saying "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." appears. But I ran other programs: SpyBot, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, ComboFix, and MGtools. Attached you find the logs created by these programs. If you can help me I will really appreciate.
    Thanks & regards,
    Armagan.

    Not much left to do.....

    Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.

    * Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
    o If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    * Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    Code:
    KILLALL::

    Drivers::
    qvvjvzsf
    pxark

    File::
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\pxark.sys
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\qvvjvzsf.sys

    Registry::
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3}]

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045}]

    * Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    * At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    * You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    * Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    * Follow the prompts.
    * When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    * I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Now try rebooting into normal mode and run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Combo.

    Be sure to tell us how things are running.

    First of all, thank you for your quick help.
    I ran C:\MGtools\analyse.exe and fixed those 2 lines as you described.
    After that I ran ComboFix by drag & dropping that CFscript.txt. At some point it restarted the machine in normal mode by itself and System Configuration Utility message appeared saying that "You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes... Choose the normal startup mode..". Then System Configuration Utility window opened with the General Tab active. Here, Selective Startup was selected with the all related options checked. Should I choose Normal Startup?
    Then I rebooted into normal mode :))) and ran the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat. Attached you can find both combofix.txt and MGlogs.zip files.
    Thank you again for your support.
    Best regards,
    Armagan.

    Things look good....let's do some cleanup from the scans:

    Please use add/remove programs to uninstall:
    Java(TM) 6 Update 2"
    Java(TM) 6 Update 4"
    Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6 Update 1"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1

    Use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\temp\hlktmp

    Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Now tell me if you are having any other issues.

    I removed all 4 of Java installations. I could not delete C:\WINDOWS\temp\hlktmp since Windows says it's being used by another program. I did not continue with the fixME.reg business.

    Now you can do the fix.reg......:) Tell me how it went and if you are having any issues.

    I did what you said for hlktmp. I created the file CFscript.txt with the text to kill hlktmp, drag and dropped it onto ComboFix.exe. ComboFix performed the scans, after a while restarted the machine, then prepared the attached log. I then checked the file C:\WINDOWS\temp\hlktmp and saw that it is there. I tried to delete it again but again Windows said it's being used by another program. I did not continue with the fixME.reg business since I could not delete hlktmp.

    I can't find any definitive info on that file/folder, but I am fairly sure it is not malware related.

    Go ahead and do the reg. fix ---> which is also just cleanup from Combo.

    If that is successful then you can do the final steps:
