Ok, so i was having problems on my pc ( this is my other thread: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=97852 ), and nothing seemed to be working, so i bought another comp. The same thing is happening to this one right out of the box! The first time i turned it on it was having the same problems! Brand New! Please help! It freezes whenever i try to do live update for norton internet security 2006, and it freezes when i try to update registry mechanic too. Combine that with it completly blocking me from google, or the webroot web page, and i'm extremely worried. None of he scans worked last time, and i doubt they will again. There were 2 trojans that were found on my last PC before i switched but getting rid of them solved nothing. They were Terminator.exe, and KillApp.exe. If anyone has a clue as to what could wrong please help me. I'm now running a Compaq pc, as apossed to the 2003 HP Pavillion that i used to run.

I'm sorry for the double post, but i need to clarify something i said in the opening post. When i said it was blocking me from certain sites, i meant that it was saying they don't exist, or that cannot find error thing.

If this is a brand new computer and is behaving the way you say, straight out of the box; you need to contact the maker of the PC. As it is under warranty.

I'm wondering what it could be though. Could someone have locked onto my isp address, or something. Is there any virus anyone knows of that has these symptoms?

Whenever i try to go to google, or webroot.com or a site for a anti virus program i get this:

    The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.
If you would like Windows to try and discover them,
    click Detect Network Settings
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

Cannot find server or DNS Error
    Internet Explorer

Any idea what could be doing this? It happened out of the box, and was the reason i got a new PC in the first place.

Heres my HJT Log. It shouldn't have anything really wierd on it because it's new. Just thought it might help since i haven't really installed much. And i'm sorry for posting so much, i'm just really worried about my new comp.

Your HijackThis log shows no malware. Like I said earlier, this is a brand new PC, and is under warranty. Return it or contact the Manufacturer. You shouldn't be having problems with it straight out of the box.
