I recently recieved the w32.Myzor.fk@yf 'virus'

I had recently gotten this on my other computer a couple years back and I couldn't remember what I did to get rid of it.

Symptoms:

-Hacks my homepage, linking me directly to fake antivirus and spyware software for me to buy

-Pops up a balloon that says my computer is infected!

-Randomly gives me security software to download for free scans

Now, I also had a window pop up that was fake. It looked exactly like a true windows security box, and it gave me a download to something called Windows Anitvirus 2008

Now, I think I have resolved all of these problems. I used smitfraud and ran computer in safe mode. I cleaned my registry and deleted infected files. Then I rebooted in normal mode. It seems that the w32 virus went away. Now today I have been working on the Windows Antivirus 2008. I couldn't get it to go away through add/remove programs, nor would my norton security pick it up.

So I searched it on google and I found this site:

I decided to try the steps towards the bottom. I did steps 1-9 and then rebooted back in normal mode. It seems to have gone away now, but I wanna make sure I have nothing else to do. I didn't continue the steps because I wasn't sure if I should download that link. Plus, I thought it was gone already.

So can someone tell me if I have done everything correctly? Should the w32 virus stay gone? Should the WAV2008 stay gone also?

And I don't usually surf adult sites, but I have reason to believe that the virus was caused from a Zlog codec thing that I attempted to downlaod to view movies online.
