So I bought one of those Belkin routers from BestBuy and I followed the instructions the best I could. Now I can go online from that pc, but I cannot go online with the other pc in my house. The other pc is not connected directly like the other one is(No internet wires going into it). And when I click on network connections on the other pc, I do see that there is a little green symbol under the wireless connection where there was non before, but between the symbol and the pc it has a red X. and I cannot connect to the internet, does anyone ge what I am trying to ask here? How do I connect to my wireless network from other pc in my home?

You need to first connect each computer directly in order to establish your ip config. Then you should be able to connect wirelessly. Not knowing which router you have...do you not have multiple connections in the back?

Make sure the other computers have a wireless card or adapter.

    Hi brahman,

In the network connections window, right click on the red x wireless network icon and select connect from the menu.

connect to the belkin router in the connect window.

when prompted, enter in the SSID that you have previously assigned/setup in the actual belkin router settings and then connect to the router.

Here's a guide for XP from the Gateway web site; read through it first to see if it applies to your scenario: http://support.gateway.com/support/manlib/Desktops/8508344/8508344.htm

Since we don't have your exact router make and model, the above guides are generalized and should apply to just about any router.... Good luck!

Also, make sure the wireless in the 2nd computer is turned on. Sometimes notebook have an on/off switch Under the computer - not in a place that you would normally look.

The page to access Belkin is 192.168.2.1
when you type that in the address bar of the browser of the computer that doesn't connect, can you get to the router set up? If not, post what happens.

Also, sometimes your wireless adapter which is with Computer 2 comes with its own CD for drivers as well. I noticed you mentioned about Belkin routers...(no highjack here) I have a different brand that came with a CD to install the drivers before attaching the adaptor.
