Okay guys, this is my first post here; I made an account simply to see if you guys have a solution to my problem so apologize in advance if I've already done something wrong or I'm in the wrong forum or whatever but today some weird sh*t happened to my computer and I'm not entirely sure what's happened... I unplugged my monitor and added a new one because my brother wanted to use mine because it's HD, his monitor (the older one) was working fine in my PC for about half an hour to an hour then i noticed things were going a bit weird, chrome crashed and then when I tried opening it again nothing happened, I clicked on AVG and started running a virus scan and then i got kinda pissed off by nothing becoming responsive and stupid me decided to just restart my PC, yeah I know this is completely where I went wrong but I'm really inpatient and no I completely regret not finishing that virus scan. Anyhow I rebooted my PC and it looked like the login screen was super zoomed in but I couldn't tell if that was the case, I switched back to my old monitor and it asked if I wanted to boot in repair mode or normal mode, I chose repair for obvious reasons and the same thing happened again, the weirdly zoomed in login screen (or so I think) and i noticed the mouse is pretty big onscreen as well, after waiting for about 10 minutes command prompt randomly opened and said it's trying to install a folder/file within System32 called MS_NSIDUIO, i waited about 20 minutes; eventually the window closed but then I was just taken back to the zoomed in 'login screen' (in which the command prompt opened up on) and nothing happened. I tried booting my PC from another hard drive but it just blue screened immediately and if I click safe mode or normal either way it still blue screens but I don't think this is the problem because I'm not 100% sure I have windows installed on that hardrive and it's always been fairly temperamental. I don't really know what to do, obviously there must be somebody on this website that can help me, I just hope you find this thread because I really don't have the money to be paying some half assed technician that will charge me £100 for fixing something that potentially could be really simple. Bare with me though guys as I'm only 17, not really got much computer knowledge but I should be able to give you all the information you need. Here are a few things you might wanna note down:

    Operating System: Windows 7
    Product Name (HP Pavillion) P6-2260ea
Processor Type: Intel (R) Core (TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz
    Processor Speed: 3300 MHz
    Processor Stepping: 000206A7 00000028
    Cache Size (L1/L2/L3): 64KBx2 / 256KBx2 / 3072KB
    Memory Size: 6144 MD DDR3 / 1333 MHz / Dual Channel
    Channel A - XMM1 2048 MB
    Channel B - XMM2 4096 MB

The majority of that information is probably useless to you but I may as well put it down anyway, anything else you'd like to know just ask. Thanks in advance.

Another thing to take note of is that I don't actually have a windows 7 disc, my computer came with it already installed, otherwise I would probably have had this fixed by now

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Actually this does not sound like a malware problem at all to me so I will move this to the Software Forum.
