I Think My Gpu Is Fried, Please Help!

I have a HP Probook 4530s (4 GB RAM) with Radeon HD GPU, i7 2630QM (2.0 GHz) with Windows Home Premium (64 bit). I was gaming on Skyforge after i was done, I put my computer to sleep. After some time i took my computer out of sleep mode and all I saw was a black screen so i cold booted my computer and when I did it froze at the windows logo in the beginning of start up. I've done this many times and same thing. I've even went as far as formatting my computer and of course it was in need of some drivers sooo, I installed all my important drivers and when i install my GPU drivers and restart the computer I have the same exact problem (stuck at the windows logo) It will let me do a system restore to the point of before I install GPU Drivers and everything works fine besides my GPU. I've been told my GPU is sometimes connected to my motherboard and sometimes it is on the same chip as my CPU. Can someone please tell me if this means my GPU is fried and if so what EXACTLY do I have to replace to fix this problem? Thank you for your time!

 

Since your display works up until you boot into the OS, I would rule out hardware. Where did you get the GPU driver?
