    Hey,

I really like this website and the support forums. Thanks for helping me solve these problems.

I think I may have a virus on my MP3 player. Lately, while playing music and starting the device it has been freezing up. I have a Philips Go Gear 512 MB MP3 player. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the help...

This may or may not be a malware problem. The only real way to know is to have you follow our standard cleaning procedures.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis

I did all the steps in the Read and Run Me First.

**When I tried to run the Bitdefender Online Scan it wouldn't let me. So I downloaded the downloadable version and ran the scan.

Attached are 2 of my logs...***Bitdefender log is not attached because the file size is too big. Do you need to analyze this log?...If so, how to I decrease the file size so I can attach it to a post?

    Thanks in advance...

You should not have installed this. It is not the only scanner that we requested. You already had an AVG antivirus installed and you must only have one (per the READ ME step 3). Uninstall this Bitdefender application.

Based on what I have seen in your logs, you problems are not related to malware. You should try posting a question in the Hardware Forum.
