i took out my soundcard and wont you use..

    i took out my soundcard and wont you use the on board soundcard. i have a ASUS A8N-SLI SE ACPI BIOS Revision 0203 mobo but i have a few problems. in sound and audio devices it says ' no audio device found'. i have enabled the onboard soundcard in my bios but havent a clue what to do next. does anyone know what i need to do. ?

    What shows up in the device manager? Any unknown devices?

    You probably need to install the driver from the MB CD or their website.

    yup, that would be it. you should have the drivers for it on the CD that came with your mobo

    yeh got it sorted now guys thanks for that . i was just a bit of a nightmare cos i didnt have a clue what driver to get but i found it.
