I Want To Upgrade My Laptop.

I'm getting into college soon and i'm getting in computer systems technology and computer repair technology.

One of the requirements is a laptop computer, obviously but the one i have right now is not up to par with anything i would want in a laptop so i need some suggestions on upgrading it. I want to get a mac computer but i also don't want to break the bank. i also want performance enough to play games once in a while like on steam and such. if anyone has suggestions i can think about, please let me know.

 

I've never owned (and probably never will) a mac, mainly because I think they are over-hyped products, and because of all the hype, overly expensive machines.

This is what I do, I decide just how much I'm willing to spend. I find setting a budget first will help narrow down what you can get. Then, from that list, decide what specs you really want your computer to have. For example, if you've got it narrowed down to 2 pc's; one has a larger hard drive, and the other has more ram, which would you prefer? I don't store a lot, so don't need a lot of hard drive space, and would the prefer the one with more ram. See what I'm getting at?

 

What make, model, OS/Service Pack machine do you currently have?

The only thing it doesn't have is an SSD...

 

I can work without and SSD but that is a good entry-level laptop from what i can see. i like the potential it has and i will be looking into it for the future.
