I watched the movie the Ring last night. One of the worst movies ever.

The acting sucked. The story was dumb. It wasn't scary. I laughed at how bad some parts were. I can't believe the sequal is coming out next year. I'm glad I didn't pay for it, if you know what I mean.

Just thought I'd warn the rest of you out there.

 

yeah i agree, it wasn't scary at all. in fact, i usually dont watch scary movies, and this one wasn't scary at all, although everyone said it was. i found it boring.

 

Yeah. I was bored watching it too. I kept thinking,"come on, get to the scary part!" But that never happened. It is a very bad movie. I don't know how it made $120 million in North America.

 

i thought it was alright but i wanna see that movie the grudge and the movie saw they both look really good

 

The Grudge was AWESOME!

 

I guess you could say I was scared because the movie was so aweful. Its horribleness (is that a word?) terrified me.

I heard the Grudge was pretty bad, Adrynalyne. Oh, well. I don't want to see it anyway.

 

scarey movies are not scarey nowadays anyway
to "preteenie" for me, but I guess thats who they market it to

the japanese origanal was better, they tend to ruin forigen remakes
there's another remake from a japanese film with "J LO" and Richerd Gere coming out
(cant remember the name of it right now) I hear thats real bad

I just watchd Dawn of the Dead(another remake) it was ok, not scarey,gorey and amusing(and at least the acting was good)

the remake of the Texas chainsaw massacre was really bad but it was grotesque(thats always a plus)
I like R.Lee Ermey so there is another + for me

Maybe it was bad. But 40 million in sales in the first 4 days kinda says something, no?

People generally don't pile in to see bad movies.

I've heard it is not as good as Juon, but I've not heard it was bad.

 

The Ring was a pretty stupid movie.

 

I haven't seen The Ring, but I wanted to. This thread is starting to change my mind.

 

I haven't seen a really , jump you out of your seat, scary movie in a long time.

Well the good thing about movies is........just because one person hates it don't make it bad for everyone. I've seen movies that someone thought was bad & I liked it & of course visa versa.

 

Yeah... I guess.

Listen to what Ebert and Roeper say about it. They hated it. It's funny to listen to them 'bash' the movie knowing that it made $40 million on the weekend. Millions of people saw the movie and liked it and these two guys just hated it. I think their review is funny because of what I just said.

Oh, by the way, I'm not basing my view of the movie (that I havn't seen yet) on these two guys review of the movie. I just think it's funny how bad they disliked it while the public likes it.
