Someone just stopped by the house and offered to buy my car for $500. I giggled hysterically and told him even the insurance company wasn't screwing me that hard.

Speaking of which...they're coming to take it away tomorrow. I did the math, and I'll actually be better off letting them total it and financing a new one. So...Thursday is hopefully car-shopping day, providing the friend I asked to take me isn't busy.

Also, my mother tells me YESTERDAY, like I haven't been ranting about this for two weeks, that the cop said he was stopped in the road watching a woman who was walking down the other side of the road to see what she'd do. Whatever the heck THAT means.

Hi Sgt. Tibbs, that would make me roflmao too. When do you go to court ? I still stand behind my original post, that cop was in the wrong, with no lights, and whatever he was doing, there still is protocol to go thru....I hope your lawyer has a copy of the report... Some of those cops think they can do no wrong.. Not all, just some.... Those are the ones that need to be reminded that they are just as much in the wrong, as if it had been you sitting there.... Had that been you, you would have gotten a ticket for doing exactly what he was doing...

    Best of Luck to ya....;)

    Good luck to you.
Hope everything goes right for you in this matter.
Maybe the woman he was watching was a "hottie" :drooland he was waiting for her to bend over for his "amusement"?rolleyes
Being a guy myself, it could have happened like that.Right, guys?;)

Court was supposed to be Monday, but the lawyer requested a veritable forest of paperwork from the police and prosecutor, so now it's on the 28th. He said when they get him a copy of the report he'll send it to me immediately, because he's as curious as I am.

The information my mom had was from the tow truck driver when he dropped the car off in the driveway.

Tell the lawyer....he will subpoena the tow truck driver.
