Evening, I "acquired" Iasex.dll and friends (3 corrupted registry entries) about 9 days ago, other than the fact that my computer THEN did not have any active scan Malware programs ( I know, facepalm ) It prevented me from being able to log into World of Warcraft. I downloaded Malwarebytes and successfully removed the hindrance and associated registry entries and was once again able to play the game.

I did the Read and Run me as a deciding step in whether or not I should re-format for obvious security reasons and would greatly appreciate input on this as to what my logs say.

SideNote: Doing the Read and Run Me has improved my system start up and response time as it seems to generally do according to the RaRM guide and other related threads postings. However, during this whole ordeal - my computed has ( I say has because it seems to come and go ) begun to freeze/hang during process start ups, the kind where you can't do anything at all particularly before my networking related icons come up which are typically always after Zone-Alarm. Often enough restarting provides a clean start up; But I have had to try up to three times. I put this as a side note because I can't say for sure as to my knowledge that it is related to malware or a software issue. I will of coarse not address it as a software issue (forum wise) until malware has been rooted out as a possible contributor.

AnotherSideNote: The Logs say "No Net" due to the initial first scan I did with Combofix. I didn't know I could stall the program by clicking on the program window, I then restarted my comp (not knowing where or if a log was made) To notice I could not connect to the internet after multiple tries (repairs) - the issue is/was related to the streamsurge entry (quarantined for some reason during my first CF scan) in the more recent Combofix log included. I only know for certain that the issue was related to streamsurge because it was specifically highlighted(mentioned) by Device Manager. Suffice it to say I was of the "Oh well, just reinstall software" mentality and did just that with out remembering where I had placed my network password cheat sheet... hence, no internet.

Your logs are clean. Although I see you don't have any AV program running. Your other issues should be addressed in the software forum.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real-time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore ato create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Good to here, and the non-presence of an AV program was/is due to a learn-as-I-go approach to my now resolved problem. I did have an AV running prior and during infection up to it's removal.

I thank you for your time and reply, I will begin the final steps asap.

I will keep the software forums in mind assuming a simply re-install doesn't do the trick.

    Again thank you.
