    Hi All,

I need a little think tank going to get me going in the right direction.

I have a IBM Thinkpad T42p laptop that the display went to crrrap in a handbasket. I've replaced it with another 15" display and The display comes up with the Full Monty and I can't see the toolbar at the bottom. It's there, but way way below in the bottom of the screen.
I've tried the following without much success and Need you help:

    1) I've tried resetting the resolution on the display. I've checked the various resolutions and still can't see the toolbar.

    2) I've rechecked the external monitor and the screen is good, but the right side of the external monitor screen is blank.

    3) I've gone to "Lenovo" (IBM's Main Downloads source for the Thinkpad) and downloaded the updates to the video drivers and still no success.

    4) I've haven't "Flashed" the Bios to see if the video card might have "Hiccupped" and might reset after that.

One question... Could using a different display screen other than the manufacturer be the problem? ? ?
Any other suggestions is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks...

    Mav :cool
