Iconoid Error after working great for 6 months

I've been using Iconoid for around 6 months.
It is one of my favorite programs.

Today, after rebooting my computer, I started getting a popup error message:

Unable to set hook to Desktop
Iconoid can not sample the screen.

This may be because "Show Desktop"
was active when Iconoid started.
If so, make sure at least one window
is showing and restart Iconoid
[Okay] <----button

If I click okay, it just pops up about 3 seconds later.
If I X it out, it pops up about 3 seconds later.

I don't know what window it wants me to have showing, but no matter what I open...Explorer, Firefox, etc so that there is a "window" open, it does not seem to be what it wants. Rebooting does not help. Reinstalling it does not help. And finally, a search on the internet does not give me even a remote clue, nor does the Iconoid website.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it numerous times. I just don't get it.
The only thing I've done is reinstall my firewall (Online Armor-the reason I rebooted) which I have always used with Iconoid and it is set to trust Iconoid.

I hope someone can help. I really love this little program.

EDIT: I just uninstalled Online Armor and now Iconoid works fine. I still need to know what's wrong because I do not want to run my computer without a firewall.
