I've been really interested in tower mods lately and bought a micro projector the other day. I was thinking, as it is right now, its pretty portable and I can hook it up to the laptop. The extended battery I got plays about 1.5 hours - long enough for a movie.

I have an extra computer tower...one of those old small compaqs and was thinking it would be a pretty cool idea to install the projector on to the tower, build in a keyboard, and have a monitorless mobile computer that can play movies on garage doors.

    my questions are:
what battery source should i be looking at to build in to the tower?
do you guys foresee cooling issues?
    Is it even worth it?

I'll also need to integrate like a flippable 1-2inch stand that can angle the projection on garage doors.

Here are the specs on the projector: http://www.aaxatech.com/products/m1_micro_projector.htm

This is the projection (attached). Definitely bright enough to be used as a monitor during daylight and as a movie player at night. This one says 66 lumens where as the pico's i was shopping for before i bought this one are like 11 lumens of brightness.

It sounds like a good idea to me.
